He was born in May 1962 and has raised a beautiful family with his wife, Kalliopi Koni. The second generation consists of his daughter Violeta and his son John while the third generation has begun with his granddaughter, Iris.
In 1976 he founded a chain of stores that sell electrical appliances called “SYKARIS”, with 28 points of sale, 400 employees and an annual turnover of 60 million euros, which until 2006 he remained the owner of. Since 2006 he is the CEO of ALPI SA Real Estate and energy production and since 1991 he is a member of the Association of Greek climbers SEO and the Greek Federation of Mountaineering and Climbing EOOA.
He is also a member of the Team 100 Mentors, the Board of Directors of Mple Kedros AEEAP, as well as a public speaker at companies, universities, events and at TEDx (Inspirational – Motivational speaker). Furthermore he is a good will ambassador for the Avgouleas Linardatos School.
He is the only Greek who has climbed 5 of the 14 peaks over 8.000 meters (Grand Slam), as well as climbed 63 peaks over 4.000m. in the Alps.
