Barış Sarıalioğlu, born in Ankara in 1981, completed his secondary education at TED Ankara College. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from METU (Middle East Technical University) and his first master’s degree in Computer Engineering from the same institution. His second master’s degree was in Management Sciences, which he completed at Sabancı University and MIT Sloan School of Management. He pursued his doctoral studies in Management Sciences at SMC University (Swiss Management Center) in Switzerland.
With over 20 years of experience in the field of information technology, he has worked as a software development, business analysis, software quality, and user experience (UX) expert and consultant. He has held management positions in international companies for nearly half of his career, working in the United States, Germany, the Netherlands, China, and Greece. Additionally, he has been a speaker, panelist, moderator, and program committee member at more than 50 international conferences in over 30 countries. He shared his experiences in two books on “software quality” published in 2014 and 2015, becoming the first Turkish author to have a book published on Amazon in this field. In 2021, he wrote “Sırma’s Friendship Manifesto,” aiming to integrate and gamify the principles of technology into children’s lives, and in 2024, he added a new children’s book to this series titled “Selim and the Seven Mystical Principles.”
As of 2018, he is the co-founder and managing partner of the international technology consultancy and software companies TesterYou and Codejust, the chief advisor at Siliconmade Academy, and a part-time lecturer at various universities.
