Catherine Allen is most well known as a UK leading expert in immersive technology and its relationship with the public. Her approach is future-thinking and imaginative, yet heavily audience-centric and grounded in data. After working on the BAFTA-winning iPad app Disney Animated, Catherine led the creation of two of the BBC’s first public virtual reality experiences in 2015 – 2016. Her work has attracted audiences in the millions. Projects have been successful with audiences ranging from young families to history enthusiasts to millennial women.
Catherine is now CEO of Limina Immersive, a research and insights company specializing in immersive media and the metaverse. At Limina she has authored several seminal reports that have influenced public policy and guided corporate strategy. Her insights have been featured in Bloomberg, Wired Magazine, The New York Post, BBC News, The Sunday Times and The Guardian.
